Chromatin organization and dynamics underlie various important nuclear activities. However, characterization of chromatin remains challenging, especially in the live cells. Dr. Chia-Lung Hsieh’s research team at IAMS has developed a novel optical microscope technique that enables high-resolution chromatin imaging in live cell nuclei without the need of labeling. This new technique is noninvasive, allowing for long-term observation of chromatin structures and dynamics.
